1. Introduction Welcome to Effective Electrics Buckinghamshire These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our services, including but not limited to electrical installation, repair, and maintenance services. By engaging with us or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Services We provide a wide range of electrical services, including residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance. Our services may also include consultations, safety inspections, and any other electrical-related services that we offer.

3. Service Agreement When you hire us to perform electrical work, you may be required to sign a formal Service Agreement outlining the specifics of the job, including cost estimates, timelines, and the scope of the work. By engaging our services, you agree to the terms set forth in the Service Agreement.

4. Pricing and Payment

• Pricing: All pricing is subject to change and will be provided in writing before work begins. Quotes provided are based on current rates, and any changes to the scope of the work may result in adjustments to the cost.

• Payment Terms: Payments for services are due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept payment by BACS or cash upon completion. Late payments may be subject to interest or additional fees as detailed in the Service Agreement.

• Deposits: A deposit may be required for large projects or materials purchased in advance. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be specified in the Service Agreement.

5. Customer Responsibilities

• Access: You agree to provide us with reasonable access to the property where work is to be performed. This includes access to electrical systems, meters, and areas necessary for completing the job.

• Accuracy of Information: You must provide accurate and complete information related to the electrical work required.

• Safety: You agree to ensure the work environment is safe for our technicians. If hazardous conditions are discovered, we may halt work and provide recommendations for necessary improvements. If the work environment deemed unsafe or our engineers are unable to carry out the work by no means of our own, additional costs may be incurred to the customer/person ordering work.

• Expectations: You understand that our contractors are exclusively electricians and any other works undertaken by the electricians will have a finish not up to standard of that of other trades. Any making good will be carried out to an electricians finish. Chases will require making good after our team has been in. Carpets may require re-laying by others. grounds workers may be required after we are to dig.

6. Liability

• Limitation of Liability: Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.

• Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Effective Electrics Buckinghamshire and its employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your negligence or failure to adhere to safety protocols.

7. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• If you wish to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 96 hours in advance (4 full days). Cancellations or rescheduling made after this period may incur a fee. Our fee is £80 for an hour job. Any job over the invoice value of £200 will result in a 50% cost being incurred on the customer.

• For jobs of an invoice value of over £1500, at least 2 weeks notice must be given for cancellation. A cost of 50% will be incurred.

  In the event we need to cancel or reschedule a service, we will notify you as soon as possible and work to accommodate your schedule.

8. Termination of Services

• Either party may terminate the Service Agreement at any time with written notice. You are required to pay for all completed work up to the point of termination.

• We reserve the right to terminate the agreement if safety concerns arise or if you fail to comply with the terms outlined.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

• We respect your privacy and handle all personal information in compliance with applicable data protection laws. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Force Majeure We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, or government actions.

11. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of England.

12. Modifications We reserve the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you, and the updated version will be posted on our website. By continuing to use our services, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms and Conditions.
